Throughout its history, Ghostlight Productions has worked hard to accomplish its mission; "To further the advancement of theater, music, and arts in Hudson County by fostering, encouraging and developing a public appreciation of music, theater, and providing recreational activities for participants." Melissa WelzCo-Founder of Ghostlight Productions, has been involved in the arts since she was 7 years old. Singing and playing piano at a young age, she knew she wanted her life and career in the arts. Melissa received a B.A. in Music Education and minored in Theater Arts at New Jersey City University. She is currently earning a Graduate Degree in Music Education. She worked on Broadway for two years and is now currently in her 9th year teaching in North Bergen public schools as a Music teacher. She has performed in numerous venues, such as Carnegie Hall, New York Symphony Space, Radio City Music Hall, and has performed at the President's Park White House National Christmas Tree Program in Washington, D.C. Melissa worked at Music Express Music Academy (Ridgefield, New Jersey) for 4 years instructing piano, voice, and musical theater while attending college. This is where she discovered her passion for directing. She has directed, produced, and music directed for over 12 years. Her two most favorite performing roles up-to-date were Audrey (Ghostlight Productions) and award-winning role Glinda (The Park Players).

Heather Zahn
Co-Founder of Ghostlight Productions, has been performing since the age of 10.  First, singing in the school choir, and acting in small school plays and talent shows.  Her love of performing continued into high school.  She took part in Drama, Chorus, Advanced Chorus, and several choral competitions. Beginning her college career in Marymount Manhattan College, Heather enjoyed her first semester, but wasn’t sure that Marymount was the right place for her. She later attended New Jersey City University.  Here, she found a home in the theater department. Throughout her college career, she acted in numerous plays and assisted in set design, sound effects, lighting, and stage crew. Heather has also acted in several independent films and has continued acting since graduating in 2009.  Several years ago, she was asked, by friend and fellow performer, Melissa Welz, to come and audition for a musical.  Since then, Heather has become an Actor, resident Stage Manager, and Acting Coach for Ghostlight Productions. Heather is most well known for her award-winning performance role as Dorothy in, The Wizard of Oz, produced by the Park Players and is currently a Middle School English Teacher in North Bergen, New Jersey. Heather has a B.A. in English Literature & Theater, certified to teach English K-12.

Manuel Ribes is an actor, singer, choreographer, and director in Ghostlight Productions.
